Welcome!

Welcome to my stamping website!! I am excited to branch out into the world of cyberspace with my love of stamping. On this site you will find pictures, tutorials, news, events, and more!
Although I am a relatively new demonstator for Stampin' Up!, I have been stamping for a couple of years. Thanks be to my friend "T" for showing me how cool stamping really is. Before I became so addicted to stamping, I thought, "I would never have enough time to hand make a card." So I challenged myself. I timed how long it took me to drive to the store, pick out a card, drive back home, and mail it. Guess how long it took? Over an hour. Then I handstamped a simple, yet striking handmade card. Guess how long THAT took? About 5 minutes. How much did the handmade one cost me? 42 cents. Store bought? 2.95...plus gas.

I think I will stick to handmade. :-) Not to mention, I LOVE the reaction I get to my handmade cards and gifts!!!

Stay tuned to this website for pictures, tutorials, news, events, and more!!

Bodacious Magic Layers

Bodacious Magic Layers

This technique is also know as embossing resist. Personally, I like the magic name better :-)

Directions:
1) Cut Whisper White A: 2"x3" B: 1 1/2" x 5 1/2".
2) Cut Certainly Celery A:2 1/4" x 3 1/4" B: 1 3/4" x 5 1/2"
3) Cut Apricot Appeal 4 1/4"x 5 1/2", Fold in half.
4) Stamp Whisper White A with small flowers in the Bodacious Bouquet set, using Apricot Appeal ink. Stamp leaves in Certainly Celery.
5) Overstamp this piece with Versamark with the spiky flower.
6) Sprinkle clear embossing powder and emboss.
7) Brayer Certainly Celery ink when embossed flowers are dry.
8) Rub off the piece with a sponge or tissue, glue to matching Certainly Celery piece. On the right side, do a one-hole-bow with grosgrain or organdy ribbon.
9) Stamp Whisper White B with the small flower, stem and leaves. Affix to matching CC piece.
10) Faux Eyelets: punch with small hole punch in a piece of scrap, then punch with large punch. Punch corner holes with larger punch and glue punchouts over these holes.
11) Stamp bottom half of card base with large flower.
12) Optional: Use word window punch in bottom right hand corner and stamp sentiment through window on piece of white scrap. Glue and position scrap behind window.
