Welcome!

Welcome to my stamping website!! I am excited to branch out into the world of cyberspace with my love of stamping. On this site you will find pictures, tutorials, news, events, and more!
Although I am a relatively new demonstator for Stampin' Up!, I have been stamping for a couple of years. Thanks be to my friend "T" for showing me how cool stamping really is. Before I became so addicted to stamping, I thought, "I would never have enough time to hand make a card." So I challenged myself. I timed how long it took me to drive to the store, pick out a card, drive back home, and mail it. Guess how long it took? Over an hour. Then I handstamped a simple, yet striking handmade card. Guess how long THAT took? About 5 minutes. How much did the handmade one cost me? 42 cents. Store bought? 2.95...plus gas.

I think I will stick to handmade. :-) Not to mention, I LOVE the reaction I get to my handmade cards and gifts!!!

Stay tuned to this website for pictures, tutorials, news, events, and more!!

Tag Snowflake Tutorial

Sorry it's been so long since I last posted. Now that school has settled down and my show @ EPAC is over, I thought I'd get caught up in my blogs.
So, to relaunch my blog, I have hear for you a Tag Snowflake Tutorial.

Supply list:
Vellum (either cardstock weight or lightweight)
Whisper White Cardstock
Large Tag Punch
Small Tag Punch
2 way glue pen
Dazzling Diamonds
Snowflake Punch
Clear rhinestone brad
1) Punch 8 - 16 Small Tags, leaving a large enough gap between each for later.
2) Go back over what you punched with the LARGE tag punch - thus creating tag "frames".
3) Using the 2 way glue pen, glue down a tag frame onto your vellum.
4) Repeat process, but line up diagonal side of the frame with the diagonal side of the other frame.
5) Continue the process, and you will end up with a "cross".
6) Glue down a tag frame on top of what you have already done at a 45 degree angle, and repeat the process for 3 more.
7) Snip off the "bottoms" of the tags to reveal the snowflake.
8) Punch out a snowflake from the Whisper White.
9) Fasten the tag snowflake and punched snowflake with the Rhinestone Brad.

Variation - layer 2 or more for an ultimate dynamic effect!!
